The Hollywood Music in Media Awards Trophy!

Something MAGICAL happened last night: My album “The Oeuvre of Leon Oury” won Best Neo-Classical Music at the prestigious 13th Hollywood Music in Media Awards!!! Held at the Avalon Hollywood & Bardot, right in the heart of Hollywood, California. We were treated to a Red Carpet and VIP reception. The album was nominated among other very talented composers, so it was with surprise and honor that I accepted the award in a room filled with some of the most acclaimed music artist in the film industry. What a thrill to be coming on stage right after composer Danny Elfman and exchange a quick congratulations as we cross each other’s path. Fellow French composer luminary Alexandre Desplat was present as well!

To give a speech in front of an audience composed of A-listers such as Tom Hanks, or Weird Al Yankivich—with whom I shared the red carpet earlier in the evening. This felt absolutely out of this world. Thank you so much to the #hmmawards for such an amazing event and the jury for the recognition, this means more than words can express, and to the wonderful musicians who helped me bring the music to this level of craftsmanship. You can go down memory lane in this “news” section on the album release post to see who they are. What a night and such a great way to conclude what was quite an eventful year!
